Updating firmware on mobile phone without USB cable?

I need to update the firmware on my LG KP501 (Cookie) mobile phone - the problem is I've lost the box with the CD and USB cable!
Is there any way round this? I'm not keen on buying the cable as it may be a one-off and updating the firmware may not even fix the problem I'm having with the phone! (which, incidentally, is that it keeps rebooting by itself when connected via bluetooth to my car system)
Any help would be much appreciated!

Even if it was possible to connect wirelessly (eg bluetooth), I would never ever advise doing this at all to update firmware. Wireless connections can be flaky and if interrupted partway through a firmware upgrade will completely kill your phone. Only way is to buy or borrow a cable.0

I agree with rsykes advice as when you upgrade the firmware the bluetooth or wireless connection will be lost thus rendering your phone NFG. Don't you have any spare cables at home that you could use as some of the phone connections are pretty standard.0

you can only do a full firmware flash (reload) via a data cable. however some of the sony ericssons i have do allow you to update the firmware over the air via gprs but i'm pretty sure its only a partial update0
