Egg Card

I have a balance with Egg credit card and was one of the thousands that they decided to bin because we paid on time and didnt incur any charges.

If I log onto my account it still shows my original credit limit, on my credit file it shows the same but the thing is that means it is included in available credit which impacts on my ability to source different lines of credit.

has anybody else had the same experience?

Send them a secure message asking them to reduce your credit limit?

I thought about that but i wasnt sure what would be worst..having an account that appears to be maxed out or available credit not being used

Strike a balance and go halfway?

What are your other accounts like (available vs used)? And what's the aggregate situation as a percentage?

Unused available credit is a bigger factor in my recent experience. Have you applied for credit and been refused? Have you looked into a 0% deal to clear the Egg balance to pay less interest and make it easier to clear the debt in full?

They should sent correct data to CRA at all times. Take it up with them

    Yep thats what Ive done.

I applied for MBNA and Post office but they both turned me down. my credit file is spotless other than 2 late payments 3 years ago.

I applied and got accepted by flybe but they only gave me £1500 limit which is £500 short of what i wanted to BT
