Time limit issue with Nat West Claim

Please could someone confirm whether the 6 year time limit for claiming CC charges starts when you first file the complaint?

Nat west have just offered me 4 of the 5 charges + 8% interest after I complained to the FO. The 5th charge was in May 2003 but they have ommited that one as its june so it's now over 6 years. Shouldn't I be able to claim the full amount?

I'm not being petty but in theory they could just keep fobbing you off until your claim becomes less and less as the months pass by!

You asked this on Consumer forums and I think the response is fairly accurate. If you went through the FOS it might be asking them to clarify this as your first complaint letter meant that it was within the 6 year period.
