Sainsburys Kids Savings Account

Don't know if this might be of any interet to anyone, but the Sainsburys Instant Access Saver Account (which has a pretty poor starting interest rate of 3.35%) can be used as a Childrens Savings Account with a 5% interest rate.

Can be accessed/managed on-line, phone, post and in-store, plus you get a SaveBack card, so you can add a bit at the checkout when you do your shopping.

This isn't something they seem to advertise - it's not on the leaflet, nor on their website.

I appreciate there are higher rates available but having looked around for something that was on-line, no regular saving needed, no awkward conditions and physical easy access to both paying in cheques and withdrawing, this looked a pretty good deal to me.
