I have a Samsung SH-W162C TS10 drive. I put it in a few days ago and it runs DVDS perfectly well. However i have recently bought some re writable DVDS and whenever i put one in the drive turns to CD ROM on my computer and it wont let me open it to write files. The disc is a imation 4.7GB DVD +R the disc is blue if that helps . I have tried upgrading the firmware (i think im not v good at this sortta stuff) but it still does the same thing.
Please for the love of god help me and please don't make it too technical.

Not necessarily. You have obviously bought an OEM version that does not come with software. I did the same with my DVD Writer as I already had access to the software so didn't need to pay the additional costs to have it included.0
