Trip cancellation insurance

Both my wife and I have travel insurance which includes medical cover for pre-existing conditions. However, the insurance does not extend to cancellation losses in the event that the trip was cancelled as a result of these conditions. Anyone know where I can get trip cancellation insurance for a reasonable cost?
By the way, the conditions are of a minor nature.

Have your current Insurers advised you they cannot offer cover for cancellation

I believe they cover cancelations due to PEMC, you could always ring and ask

both my wife and I have PEMC. Mine is a minor hernia my wife though has a major health problem. We took out a yearly multi trip insurance with Columbus so we could go to Las Vegas. Cost us £86. They have cancellation of up to £3000.

Doesn't hurt to try.

I even had reason to call them because I wasn't sure it had gone through, but the member of staff I spoke to could not have been friendlier.
