    Hi Lee

My parents got married in Cyprus they got married in a Limmasol

They were married by the Mayor in the town hall

Its very easy to organise weddings in Cyprus and there are lots of operators to choose from, I think the key thing is to set yourself a hotel and work from there.

I would suggest you look at the resorts of Paphos or Protaras. Also Nissi Bay near Ayia Napa.

Some lovely hotels to choose from

Any help I can be just give me a shout

    Thanks

    Hi Lee

Your best off picking up some brochures and looking at the hotels. Some hotels will do free wedding packages

Just use the usual likes of Thomas cook/Thomson etc etc

I have sent you a PM

How much will it cost for family and friends to join you?

Hi sorry for the long post but wanted to give you as much information as possible. We were married in Cyprus 5 years ago and we went to Protaras.

We booked our holiday through a local travel agent called Holiday and Flight Centre in Hamilton who then booked with Libra Holidays. All in all you are def making the best decision to marry abroad as prices and venues at home are a complete rip off.

We stayed self catering for 2 weeks in the Sweet Memories apartments - good clean apartments but quite basic. We paid £600 per person for our holiday and when we advised family and friends of our plans it ended up 32 of us travelled. Because it was such a large booking the travel agent included our wedding package which included, car, bouquet, button hole, cake and photographer free of charge.

I emailed the hotel before we went for some advice on a venue for our reception and the bar manager Stuart contacted me straight back and asked if he could do it. He had a friend who was a chef in a local hotel and would come to Sweet Memories so he arranged a 3 course meal with a choice of dishes and wine and I think it worked out approx £10 per head and that included wine (bottles on the table) they decorated the top table and the owner of the apartments, son owned a local taxi company so he arranged transport for wedding party to get to Parlimini town hall where we were married. (10 min drive away) the town hall is decorated lovely with white covers over guests chairs

After ceremony photographer took us to local gardens for photos and then to beach (photos are fab). Then back to apartments for meal, speeches then a disco at apartments.

We also arranged hair, make up nails etc with a british hairdresser along from our apartments.

If you want any more info or advice please PM me and I will be happy to help :D
