No Argos are responsible under sale of goods act
http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/consumers/fact-sheets/page38311.html
It is the seller, not the manufacturer, who is responsible if goods do not conform to contract.0 -
Sometimes the manufacturer is the retailer's repair agent, and acts on their behalf.
Either way, just call Beko, get an uplift number. New fridge, thank you very much.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
Oh dear - I hope you have better luck than I am having with my Beko fridge freezer. It has had an intermittent fault since new (now 18 months old) and I have suffered a catalogue of disasters with it, and absolutely no help from Beko. Beko are now saying that even though it's the same fault which their engineers have been unable to repair, that because it is now out of guarantee that they will have nothing further to do with it, and refuse any compensation at all for my two full freezer and fridge loads of destroyed food. This is incredibly stressful, and I would really suggest that anyone who is considering a Beko item would be well advised to think again. The company are appalling and I don't think I have ever dealt with such a couldn't-care-less company. DO NOT BUY BEKO EVER.0
