Tax credit current timescale

Anyone have any idea of the processing time for a joint claim with the tax credit folk?
My husband and I split up, it turned out to be temporary and while the tax credit office were super fast at processing the single claim, they are taking forever to even put the joint claim on the system.
He moved back in 2nd June and I have had no money since then. I understand they prioritise single parents and they assume because my husband works full time all will be fine but thats not the case. His wages only covers the rent, council tax and his loan, I get nothing from him towards food, petrol, utility bills e.t.c.
As of yesterday they still don't have my form on their system never mind processing it.
Pretty soon we are going to be in serious doo doo, is there anything I can do to speed the process up bar kicking my husband out again? (not really)

The claim should be on the system by now, can't understand why it is not showing, supposed to be a 4 week turnaround time. Get back on the phone and if it's not on, then tell them you want another form0
