Phew what a day....I didn't know anyone could be more organised than me and I have just had to go through what other people have to go through when they are with me..
SIL been down to discuss accounts and impending VAT visit...she is my OH's sister and has the same paranoid tendancies that he has..what if, what if, what if...I nearly hit her with the same bloomin frying pan that I hit the OH with.
Then she decided the car that she came in (big BMW) needed oil - did I know where it went. We went to the garage and she caused chaos by using her mobile on the forecourt, asking everyone in the shop which oil she should use and then forgetting her pin number for her card. Then she decided the tyres needed blowing up - ?????????? We left that one...
Now I still have as much work to do as I did this morning sigh!!! Beer anyone.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Hmm - good mood has vanished *!!!!!!* like that
Another girl in the group started to cry when I was talking about nathan - turns out she had a wee boy called nathan but he died shortly after being born and today is the first day she's heard someone else use the same name and her birth story is so similar to mine (2 weeks late, induced, on hormone drip, falling heart beat, forceps...) the only difference being forceps didn't work for her so they went to emergency c section:eek: made me think how different things could be.... and now I feel useless that I'm 'ill' and not making the most of the time I have with my Nathan:o and her birth story is so similar to mine (2 weeks late, induced, on hormone drip, falling heart beat, forceps...) the only difference being forceps didn't work for her so they went to emergency c section:eek: made me think how different things could be.... and now I feel useless that I'm 'ill' and not making the most of the time I have with my Nathan:o
Sorry to dump this here... I suppose I should really use my diary but don't think anyone reads it other than Beanie or Lucielle ...
Wish I could talk to my Mum about this stuff
Oh Luc :grouphug: you must not think of what if's, you're clearly a brilliant mum, no down-talking please
It is tragic that will all our modern medicine there are still some babies that can't be saved but while we can feel terribly sad for those mothers you must never ever feel guilt, we parents have enough to deal with as it is. I do find myself so much more sensitive since Elliot's birth, I think it's natural as you realise what it is to love someone that much... god I used to buy crap like That's Life and cry my eyes out over other people's stories that is NOT me at all! that is NOT me at all!
Oh and as for making the most of him... gawd... my mum comes over and just delights in every breath he takes and looks at me as if to question why I am not just in total awe non-stop - well I am most of the time but I deal with the nappies, the tantrums, the washing, the tiredness, so it is never going to be roses all the time... unless you're rich and outsource the nasty bits :rotfl: 0 :rotfl: 0

She is nice to be fair.....I just don't know why most of John's family focus on the what if's of life. Its like they need constant reassurance that everything is going to be alright...but I don't have a crystal ball, all I know is do the best you can and deal with things as and when they come up. No point worrying about what might happen:cool: and deal with things as and when they come up. No point worrying about what might happen:cool:
I have still done loads of work, just got a bit of a tight deadline of tomorrow morning...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
