Requesting Credit Card statements from Vanquis.They say £5 per statement!!!

I wanted to reclaim my credit card charges for going over my limit.

So I phoned Vanquis up to request my past statements and they said it will be £5 per statement!!!

I read on here that they can only charge £10???

Which is correct?

1st mistake -you phoned them
2nd - you asked for statements, therefore they can charge what they like

I've just popped some comments in, hope you dont mind,

When you send the initial letter off, (use the template on the site - think you can get it from the sticky at the top)


The just of the first letter, you are asking for "INFORMATION" / charges to the account) ie any charges that were applied to the account - by asking for "information / charges to account, you are not asking for statements merely information that is covered under the data protection hence thats where the £10 comes in, thats the maximum they can charge.
