Is this going to be another thread where people giver advice and ask for more information and never hear anything from you again?
  • that was a nice reply. i hav asked for genuine help as i had no where else to go. I have no children and am ova 40.
  • Do you have savings over £6000?

You will have to possibly claim job seekers allowance, LHA and CTB. As a single person you will not be entitled to anything else.

In reference to ONW post it is very frustrating when we answer op's questions and they do not return.

I apologise but that's what you did the last time you posted. You didn't thank anyone or answer any questions or come back at all. If this query is different than I'm sure you'll get all the help you need here.

As a single, childless person you'll be able to claim JSA and help towards the rent. LHA (used to be HB) will pay for the applicable rent for one bedroom accommodation and also the council tax.

Princess1964 you're in an identical situation to me (apart from the child minding qualification) my partner left a week ago, he's still contributing to rent etc as we took the place on together and we're hoping to get back together soon, just need some space. But apply for housing and council tax benefit (if you google that it'll bring up the form that you download, print off and sent to you're local tax office) I'm sick with worry also, I know its not a pleasant situation to be in at all. PM me if you want x
