hi all, got a small problem and am just wondering how long after sending a item back to the seller and them only responding with they haven't received it yet and will email me when they get it, should i wait before contacting ebay or paypal on trying to get my money refunded. Item in question was a 32gb mp4 player which i won the bid at £25, normally i click on the buy now button, i received the item on the 1st june 09, and it died on me on the Friday 05 june, sent back on 06/06/09 at 10:56am, and its now 29/06/09 and they say they still havent received it. Due to the size of the packet, it was set my Internation Air Mail post office.

Did you send it with proof of delivery - signed for on receipt?
Otherwise, it's 28 days before the RM will consider an international item as lost, but if you can not prove the seller has received it back, then paypal will not be issuing any refunds I'm afraid.
If you have kept your proof of postage, then get a P58 form from the post office and start the claim for your loss.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I kept the receipt as it says on the receipt this is your proof of posting.
I don't know if the package was sent so they would have to sign for it. The post office actually decided how it was sent, i jist told the lady behind the counter that i wanted to send a package to hong kong, and the cashier choose the appropriate postage.
Int Airmail Sml Pk is what is says on the ticket, its possible they have received said item, as it only took 7 days for me to get it from them, could be they are saying they havent received it to make out its lost in the post so they dont have to refund me, or replace it. I know I will never be buying anything again from Hong Kong / China ever again as this has put me off, even though none the other items i've bought have never broken.0 -
Standard airmail is not tracked so you will have to do as Steve suggests.
I have also moved your question to a new thread as I think you will get more views rather than having it hidden in the sticky thread.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Received an email from the seller saying that they wait 1 more week, and if it doesnt turn up they will refund me for the cost of goods. So before i fill in the P58 form i'll wait and see, give them to next wednesday. Thank you for all the help0

Just to say that it took 13 days for a small packet posted first class to get from UK to France. So be patient a bit longer.0

Dont know whether they finally got it, but today i recieved an email saying they are sending a replacement, they would have refunded it, but due to restrictions on their ebay / paypal account they wouldnt be able to refund the entire £25, and there would have had to be 2 payments made, so i took the replacement instead, also on the email please allow between 7 to 20 days to recieve it, last time it was sent on a thursday i received a week monday. not the following monday but the week after that monday.0

Hi, received the new replacement mp4 player today due to the sellers ebay/paypal limitations. Am i happy, NO, after doing some googling i found other people who had bought the same player, turns out the mp4 player advertised as 32gb is not 32gb but a 4gb hacked to make it look like 32gb, 1 of the buyers even bought it from the same person i did. There are currently 147 sellers selliung the mp4 player as 32gb, and it seems ebay is not doing anything to stop them.
so as a warning as to what to look out for this is a picture also goes by the name RIZONE as well as ITCHEE
