Cruise - QE2 - Cunard

Hi,

I am going on the QE2 at the end of July for the norwegian 7 night trip with hubbie.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever been on the QE2 and whether they would like to share their thoughts, advice, tips

but more importantly...I get very travel sick and wondered if anyone knows of any good medication for this. Has anyone else who gets travel sick been on a cruise before? what was it like? what pills did you take?

Thanks
Kat x

Kat have the injection as soon as you get onboard its about 30-35 and it works much better than the pills.

Best cure for seasickness is to lie under a tree! Seriously tho' those wristbands that came out a while ago to combat seasickness are alleged to work, if you dont want to take medication...

    Hi Kat,
Hope you have a great cruise.
We have cruised 4 times and have never been ill.
The Americans have the best pills.
All the info you want should be on this web site.

Worth while registering. It is free and will tell you all you need to know about cruising.
If you ever sail with Celebrity or Princess etc. you will find people who are on the same cruise as you.
It's a great way to start your hols.
There are pages about destinations, dress code, tipping, cameras and pretty much anything you can think of.
    Enjoy.

Obviously, in extreme conditions, anyone can be seasick, but, in honesty, I feel it is in the mind.

You don't want to spoil a lovely cruise worrying about something that will not happen, do you? These ships all have stabilisers, you know!

Once you get you get your sea legs, you will be great, be positive, go for a walk around the deck and feel that wind in your hair!

We went on a maiden voyage three years ago in December from Southampton to New York, it got a bit rough, and we had to fight our way against the wind around the bow, but it was so exhilerating, my partner and I still talk about it!
Do let me know how you get on.... Bon Voyage!
