Wow how the time flies

Well it's been 5 months and almost 2 weeks since the judge signed on the dotted line and what do I find this through the door when I get home? Yup a notice saying I was discharged last week!!! 5 Months and 1 week to the day....

A question if I may??

So I'm paying an IPA of £520 a month, having spoken several times with the lovely lady at the RTLU several times shes been really helpful and explained that as long as they get 36 payments (adjustable depending on income) they dont mind what I earn as far as bonuses and stuff. She also said that once discharged anything extra I get (other than salary) like bonuses and shares are mine and I dont have to tell them. Is this right?

Cheers Guys.

Check the wording of your IPA agreement - there are 2 versions, one that says you have to let them know if income increase for the 36 months.

If you have any surplus income after all household allowances, then the OR takes a % per month for 36 months. This goes towards a) the OR's fees and b) your creditors,in that order of preference. Dx

Yes that is the general trend.

Allowances are generally set(all OR's are different)for an individual's circumstances and worked accordingly. So it not a forgone conclusion that everybody will get an IPA,neither is it definate that someone who appears to have no surpls will not get a IPA.Dx
