PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. so they can't evict me in anyway?0

tbs624 is correct
"Normally, landlords of assured shorthold tenants can evict a tenant by giving you a minimum of two months' notice and then getting a court order without having to show a reason. This is known as the 'shorthold ground'. However, if your landlord or agent hasn't protected your deposit and provided the required information within 14 days, then they cannot use the shorthold ground to evict you."

should I go back to the LA frist to make sure that the deposit isnt registered ad that things have broken down between LA & LL.
Think is they never sent me an invetory so could my LL come round and find an excuse to throw me out.0 -
Debrag - do stop dithering, as you are simply going round in circles.
The *LL* is responsible for ensuring that (a) your tenancy deposit has been scheme registered and (b) for passing on the "prescribed information" from the scheme to you.
You don't need to atke it upon yourself to chase back & forth between them - *this is your LL's responsibility*Your LL cannot serve a valid S21 notice to regain possession of the property whilst your tenancy deposit remains unregistered.
Contact each of the 3 schemes yourself and get *written* confirmation of wther your deposit is or isnt actaully registered an then take it from there LINK
If you need support with it, talk to the tenancy relations officer at the local Council, as mentioned before. They are nothing to do with council housing - their role is purely to deal with issues within the private lettings sector.0 -
I'm going round in circles as you say because I don't want them to sudden;y turn round and tell me to leave.
Will write to all the places in the link0
