Meals on the company...?

Options
Are businesses allowed to claim tax relief from Meals?

For instance if An Employer wanted to treat the staff to a fancy meal out to celebrate a new deal, are they allowed to put it on the company credit card?

    Still confused...

This Mentions form P11D Which doesn't apply as has no employees.

What if it's a small business that doesn't have any employees, and just two partners who go out for a meal?

You still have a requirement to complete a P11D as a director/partner when you do your personal tax return.

No, P11d's only relate to directors and employees. Self employed people (including people in partnerships) would put all the meal costs through the business but the cost would be added back for tax purposes so in effect it adds to their share of the profits and is taxed.
A business with employees can treat all staff to a meal but it would be a benefit in kind on the employees if it exceeded (I think) £75 in a year. It would also be a BIK to the directors and, again added back in the tax comp for slef employed business owners.
A staff meeting or training event where food is provided is not a BIK if all staff are included.
