Tax Credit and Disability Element

Hi,
I have just been awarded DLA on Low Rate Mobility and Low Rate Care. I received a form from Tax Credits stating that they had been notified that I now receive this benefit. I didn't know that they would be notified nor that I might be eligible for the disability element. Is it automatically awarded if you get DLA?
