Avoid Tradefair Promotion

Tradefair are offering £100 to new customers doing spread betting... terms and conditions are as follows;

* Customer Terms and Conditions
 1. Your spread betting account must be funded and two opening trades (not on shares) placed to receive the £100 credit. Tradefair Spreads will match your first initial deposit up to a maximum of £100.
 2. Please contact our customer service team on 01438347157 or via email on spreads@tradefair.com to get the bonus applied, before 30th June 2009.
 3. This offer is limited to one account per applicant and can not be used in conjunction with any other offer. Current holders of a Tradefair Spreads account will not be allowed to participate. Accounts are also subject to status.
 4. The £100 is for trading purposes and cannot be taken out of the account as cash for three months from the date credited.
 5. The £100 "Credit" is non transferable to other Tradefair products.
 6. This offer is subject to fair use policy and abuse of this offer may result in the credit being withheld. Tradefair Spreads reserves the right to withdraw this promotion at any time.
I put £100 in and placed my 2 trades. They gave me £100 to play with so I withdrew my original £100 to stop me misbehaving. I managed to lose most of that through poor strategy and so topped up my account by £50. Changed my mind again after a while with no profit (or loss) so tried to withdraw it.

Tradefair refused to give me any of my money back saying that their "interpretation" of the terms and conditions means that anyone with an account balance of less than the original bonus amount (£100) could not withdraw even though I had deposited £50 literally thirty minutes before. Very disappointed as I now have £50 locked in to the account for three months... DOH.
