Hi everyone
We finally moved into our new flat on Friday after lots of dramas! :T
I was wondering what people usually do regarding household bills. I am not sure who the gas and lekky suppliers were for the people we bought from etc, so I am not sure who to contact to get bills sent to us. Do we just wait for them to write to us?
Thanks in advance guys...

Take meter readings straight away and keep a record of the date and time you took it, in case the previous owners left a bill :eek:I suppose eventually they will contact you........ when we moved in we had already arranged for the gas and electric to be turned on , just wonder if yours was turned off by the previous people?#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Congratualtions!
You need to give the utilty companies a reading straight away so that there is no dispute over the change-over reading. If you take your readings and call British Gas, explain that you're not sure who your supplier is and they will find out if it is them or not. If it isn't, they are normally able to tell you who is. They may be able to do it with electricty too, otherwise just phone your local electricty board and do the same.
They will give you the hard sell to change over to them but just politely decline. You probably will want to change suppliers to save money, but do it Martin's way.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
