Hi,
Something most odd has happened in the last couple of days, IE8 does not show telephone numbers. I have gone on a number of sites and the number displays for only a fraction of a second then disappears.
Is this a known bug?

Bumped it up in the hope that someone can suggest solution.
If op confusing, just let me know and I will clarify, but all it is is that any telephone number within the page on any website only displays for a fraction of a second. I have to keep on pressing refresh to get glimpses of the telephone number.Notlob0 -
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
Sounds like an odd bug to have.
Do you have any add-ons installed?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -
Give us one of the offending sites....
I find this hard to understand, as there should be no differentiation between text and numbers in IE.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

The only thing I know of offhand that affects the appearance of telephone numbers in web pages in a browser is installing Skype and using the Skype add on. Presumably there may be other VOIP software that may do the same."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Bang on. You're a star Superscaper. I would never have figured it out.
I have only recently installed Skype and when I disabled the add on, hey presto.
Much appreciated, I can now see those all important sex phone numbers:D
