Paid Off Balance but not canceled

in Credit cards
This may sounds daft/stupid to some people but i Had a thought after reading this site and that your credit limits depend on your available credit and that if you have a number of cards open this can affect your limits.
Although I am not after a bigger limit I am a little concerned that I have cards open that I no longer use or recieve statements for.
I have had a few cards that I have made balance transers from and reduced the balance to zero but I have not canceled the card. I have recently moved house and therefore will not recieve any correspondance from any of these cards. Will the account close after a period of inactivity or will they send through new cards that someone else could use?
Is there anyway I can find out what cards I have open?
I really must get into the habit of transferring the balance and closing the account.
Any advice would be welcome.

Order your £2 credit files from three CRAs. Closed accounts are shown as 'settled'. However, you cannot be sure that all your cards are reported to CRAs.
The other way is to phone all CC companies you ever had CCs with.0 -
Also not a bad idea to get your post forwarded to you by the Royal Mail.
My experience of changing address with some companies is that they continue to send things to the previous address even after they have been told of the change.

Thanks for the replies. I have phone most of them and managed to close five cards and actually had £12 credit on one of them, which was a nice surprise. Only one more to go and I think that will be the lot.
Careful_ly - I did have my post forwarded but they would only do this for the first three months and after that it would be a charge.
I stupidly thought they would close the account when I transferred the bill, looking back though why would they?
Well I only have one to go then I canb sleep easy.
