Is PPI the same as LPI?? Need help!

Hey all!
Quick question for you, After reading about PPI claims, i looked over a loan that i have almost completed paying from lloydsTSB. It states that i am paying nearly £1,000 for Loan Protection Insurance, Is this the same as PPI???? I could use the advice if i'm going to make a claim.

I take it its the same.
If you have reason to complain its been mis sold then go for it.
