Hi Guys

I have 2 .5 rolls of good quality turf left over from doing my garden yesterday. What should I do with it and can I put it in my compost bin?

Also anyone teesside based can pick it up if wanted, just pm me.

Cheers
John

Don't put in the compost bin - stack it in a corner of the garden, turf side down and in a few months it will have turned into wonderful topsoil

We're (very) slowly stripping the turf off our garden to create a veg patch, herb garden and flower bed. We stacked it upside down next to the compost bin - I'm glad to see we did the right thing by accident!!

We've also used it - upside down again - to fill up the bottom of big tubs, chimney pots etc which we then put compost on top of for planting up - saves money on compost and I've now got the biggest tomato plants I've ever grown in these tubs!
