I hate Cash Points with a vengance

Why does it always happen to me this is the second time in 3 months the flaming cash point has swallowed my card for no reason at all (different cash points noth times). I now have to wait a week for the new one to arrive and go to the bank to get my money out :mad: Why dont the blasted machines just spit the cards back out if it cant complete a transaction for technical reasons. By the way there is nothing wrong with my account plenty of money in there pin number was correct and bank cant see why the machine kept it. Sorry i just had to vent :mad:

Why not stick a couple of hundred quid in a decent account with card for when this happens ? My cash goes to a YBS card but I keep £200 in a Nationwide postal account for such events.(usually sitting on them and breaking them!)

Well i did just that and have a new account with an extra card witht eh same bank so i can just transfer all my money over instantly and get it out that way. unfortunately being the blonde i am i changed my purse recently and have now lost the pin number for said new card so that plan has gone out the window too lol.

So much for the best laid plans and all that :-)

An advantage of opening an account with another Bank/Building Society is that if you fall out with your main account holder in the future,you can transfer to the 2nd account but not be looked on as a dodgy risk by credit card companies as you can truthfully say that you have been with the new bank for a number of years.
