I've just been reading Martin's tips for cheaper calls.
He says "...you still need to pay BT £11/month (plus £1 for non-Direct Debit) line rental. Ensure you’re on its basic, ‘Option 1’, tariff though. I’m often staggered how many people are paying BT for a discount calls package, when they use another company to make calls!"
Now my problem, I changed to Tesco Home at the end of last year, I am on BT Option 1 but am paying £30+ for line rental.
How is that?
TIA

If your line rental is still with BT, you are looking at the quarterly price (£32.99).
Divide by 3 ........Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Oh Lord! how could I be so dumb!
