I could offer HM bread, slow cooker gammon, HM green tomato chutney ... dessert of HM yoghurt tricked with honey ....

It is probably made from high priced caviar and the rest is to pay for the Knightsbridge shop rates.

I didn't see that article but I bet it tastes rank too

It's rather late but this has to be a belated April Fool. If some one spends that for a sandwich they are not only a fool but a sandwich short of a picnic in my opinion.

People will pay anything for anything - especially if they have money to burn and they 'perceive' it's value to be higher - whether because of what it is or because the like's of you and me can't (or won't) afford it.

A few years ago I was talking to a man who had had an engagement ring made for a top footballer to give to his girlfriend. The footballer wanted something individual and expensive. The man designed it, got a jeweller friend to make it and sold it to the footballer - who was happy to pay. Cost of ring - approx £2k for raw materials plus £1k to jeweller to make it up. Charged to footballer........

    £58k

Ok, it's your money and you can do with it what you will, but a fool and his money........

I wonder if the sandwich is going to be made with Kobe (Tajima) beef?
