My complaint to tesco following home delivery shop has gone unanswered. They could at least have acknowledged the e-mail and said sorry on this occasion we cant refund you for the damaged items rather than just ignore it! EDIT NOW HAD E-MAIL FROM TESCO TO SAY DAMAGED ITEMS REFUNDED :-) THANK YOU TESCO

Ive just knocked up a weekly planner that will suffice until my mid year diary kicks in. This time next year, if I follow it, I will have a whole year's menus :D

I have told my partner that at the weekend we are going to sit down and plan some weekly menus. I crammed some whoopsied steak into my freezer yesterday and I dont think I can get anything else in so its time to start using what I have.

Home delivery shops when I get "click happy" and not planning are the reasons why I fail and fail miserably on the grocery challenge. My cupboards are looking very disorganised again so I might tidy/sort this weekend also :j I dont fancy sorting through my chest freezer in the garage however - that might have to be a case of eating whatever is at the top first and working my way down....

have a good day everyone :D

£13 spend at Mr T last night but that includes mouthwash and lynx on offer totalling £7 so only £6 on food! Should be a small shop next week to as only need fresh stuff, enough in the freezer meat/fish wise and frozen veggies. :)

will add a joint to next weekd list then and see if that works ...i tried cooking a joint years ago but it just didnt taste right ...probably bought the wrong thing and cooked it wrong though ....

i saw it on amazon mrs e ...i recently closed my account for there as i was spending way way too much money on books (my weakness) but i have my student card and will check out waterstones when i get paid ...

and that leaves me to the library ...well ...i have had snobbery issues with the library for years (hence the reason i usd amazona alot) i used to use it as a child but i remember getting a book out once and pages were missing ...i think people had been eating there dinner off of it etc as well ...so i decided in my wisdom years ago that i wouldnt go back ...however when i was trying to get myself out of debt first time i did go back and was pleasantly surprised (obviously years had went by and things had moved on from the previous experiance.....different library as well mind you) but then when we got out of debt it was like well i can afford to buy books now so i will ....but i cant anymore and have been kidding myself on for a while i could ...so i will check out the library ...gonna need to anyway as i cant afford to buy any student books this year for uni either

ok food ...well hubby tried the soup he said it was strong ??? i re read the recipe and it did say 1lb of red split lentils but on hind sight i think half a pound would have done ...but he did also say it was edible so i think between the two of us we should manage it this week ...

hubby decided he wanted chicken curry and chips last night so the chips came from the freezer and the curry from the firdge so no spend there ...but i warned him we have to use up what we have planned for ...he agreed so we will see how it goes ...

When you get a joint, just let us know what you've got and we'll tell you how to cook it. :)

Too strongs not a problem, just add some veg stock to calm it down,if its then too thin then either a boiled potato mashed or instant mash will thicken it a bit.

Check your local councils website. They should have a page about the libraries in your area and will tell you what you need to take with you to join. It's often a couple of forms of ID, including a utility bill or something with your address on.
