 Ok so yesterday was a NSD (thank goodness) but today I managed to spend £1.94 on kitchen roll and £1.94 on washing powder. Didnt need either of these but they were both on offer and this way I shouldnt need to buy them for a couple of months :D
Dinners this week are sorted but do need to do a fair bit of shopping on Tuesday to get me some more freezer meals ready and fruit and snacks etc.
Other than that I did spend £44.99 () on BBQ gas today but thats a one off which will no doubt last me year so I AM NOT counting that.

Wasn’t planning on a grocery spend today …

Really busy day. DD’s school’s open morning & she was an ambassador, so we had to be at the school first thing with her in full uniform. Straight after that headed off to take her to her Dad’s; wasn’t going to sit in a tin box for a couple of hours mostly on the car park known as the M25 so went on the train, though the tube bit across London was very hot.

Then went & got DD some clothes, as she has this annoying childish habit of growing & perversely needs some cooler weather clothing for our trip to Oz next month.

So, picked up a (whoopsied) rotisserie chicken in Mr T, plus some crusty bread; salad & white wine in the fridge – sorted & no cooking!

Another £36.24   spent today & yesterday on fruit & salad stuff mostly. I got some cat food, dishwasher tablets & ice cream sauce too. The salad and fruit bowl are disappearing fast at the moment with the warm weather. I've budgeted £85 a week for July so I'll have to cut back somewhere else this month. Does anyone else find their food bill increasing in the summer??? Or does anyone have any tips on spending less in the warm weather - if anyone will it'll be you guys :A :A

Spent £12.48 at MrT today but some of that was for OH as he's gone overnight fishing and he needed stuff to take with him. Planning a NSD tomorrow, hopefully

    Hiya guys,
As you can see, mr and mrs are keeping me up as usual:eek:
Went for a recci to mr m's today, to get some cheapie idea's, it was nice to have a wander round when I'm not in a rush and it's got me thinking;), there could be a whole new meal plan coming up.
Well made a small spend of £5.83, which was good as I was up there for a couple of hours (course popped into the cafe too but the £1.50 was out of my treat money,:rotfl:I'm easily pleased)
    Herbal bath bogof £1.05 I thought was a bargain:T
fresh potato and leek soup on speacial £1.00
Head and shoulders 2in1 for mr £1.84 but it will last for ages;)
Five counties cheese a whoops at .69p:T
    Value lemonade .18p
    Dried pineapple .39p
    Everton mints:o .68p

So on the whole I think I was very good, even with the sweeties as they will last me a couple of weeks:D

  • Casper- So sorry to hear your sad news. Big hugs for you & your family.

I popped to MrT's yesterday armed with a list that I was going to stick to no matter what but while I was walking there I bumped in to DS, he was ment to be at the cinema with his GF but they fell out so he came home, anyway ended up spending £28.91:eek: we did end up buying some very yummy sorbet that DS said he needed to cheer him up:rolleyes:.

I think that I might start taking my GC money out of the bank every week and then when its gone its gone. We also need to cut down on milk, between two of us we go through 28 pints a week, DS(17yo) loves drinking milk, we have some on cereal but the majority of it I use in tea, I have a very bad tea/caffeine addiction and I really should look at cutting down, I must drink around 20 cups a day, I have worked out that I'm spending a 1/4 of the GC money on milk alone.

Just of to up date my sig. I hope everyone has a good day and enjoys the lovely weather.
