New Build not including stated goods??

Can anyone advise me - we've bought a new build and in our literature it clearly stated that our house includes a washer dryer .Today we have been to choose our kitchen when we asked if they could leave us the doors so that we could have integrated appliances put in at a later date(long shot, I know!)
Anyway, the answer was no so then she started to tell us what was included as standard, missing out the washer dryer.I queried this to be told that there is a disclaimer saying that these can be changed. For them to fit one it is £680.
Can they do this - we signed the contracts on friday but have not yet exchanged. We paid £146k for a house marketed at £175k so are they just scripping?
What can I do - if anything?
TIA

You need to speak to your solicitor ASAP. What is and is not included should have been specified in the contracts.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Have just read the said contracts and nothing is mentioned about any of the items included such as the cooker and hood which she confirmed today.
Any further ideas?

Trading Standards - give them a call they are very helpful. When I was in new build TS would never of accepted that any disclaimer allowed the builder to omit such a significant item off.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. Were you not given the opportunity to run over the contracts before signing them? As I said you need to discuss this with your solicitor, that's what he is paid for.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Thanks for all your replies - spoke to solicitor today who said she would sort it.
Rung developers to say expect a phone call and better half managed to get them to agree to it BUT only after standing firm for a long time.
We're going in tomorrow to chose other upgrades and I'm dreading what they're gonna cut out next!! These ladies have been most unhelpful from the start0 -

I assume you mean the on site sales negotiators? Fancy title but usually zero authority, often part time & so it could be an idea to try and deal with person above them working out of HO or regional office? After all the ladies will have to refer to HO/regional office when making most decisions.
There are ways of doing it but still keeping the on site staff on board as it could be helpful in the long run?A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0
