Hi
Not sure whether this is the right forum, but does anyone know whether the "TOMTOM 1 One V1 GPS SAT NAV Europe 2009 Map+Speed cams" is any good?
I just need it to guide me round the Uk and then round northern france for a week, nothing too taxing.

Depends on price really. Its an older gen tomtom but its still a tomtom, so as far as I know they're superb. Of course it will do the job just fine, just depends if you could get the more up to date V3 or 4 for a similar price.0

The older Ones are better IMHO as they have SD slots so you can increase the memory nice and easy.
There are ways and means to get up to date software and maps without having to pay through the nose.0 -
I hadn't thought of the SD slot thing, I'm not too familiar with the intricacies of the different tomtoms.
As for getting up to date stuff, well there's something called bittorrent, but we can't really discuss that here.
What we CAN discuss though is pocketgpsworld, which provides an alternative, user maintained speed camera database for a very small fee, much less than the official ones anyway.0 -
