Have had lots of problems in last week with my desktop connection. Lap tops are working wirelessly through same router. Have established problem with desktop is that it cant aquire the IP address. Wireless assistant shows as connected to my vodafone router BUT with 0.0.0.0 in IP address. I therefore cant connect.
Any ideas how to fix? as i am now in despair!

Running network diagnostics it states windows cannot connect to the internet using http https or ftp. This is probably caused by firewall settings on this computer.
Check the firewall settings for the http port (80) https port (443) and ftp port (21).
still doesnt work with firewall swtched off.0 -
have managed to fix by following instructions from link to google.0
