Passport query?

Hiya
We managed to get a Cheap holiday booked :j :j For my dads 60th...
Problem is, my daughters passport is due to expire in October, but we are leaving for holiday in May...I was reading about some countries wanting a valid passport for 6months or so, but my daughters will be valid for another 5 months....Does anyone know if Spanish want a passport with more than 6 months on it or not?

Holiday company said it should be fine, but wondered if it was best to renew her passport?

MaNY THANKS!

  • I know if you do renew it , they will add on the remaining time to the length of the passport - so if you renewed it now it would expire in 5/10 years 6months.

    Spanish as in spain

You shouldn't have a problem - it's part of the EU - i doubt they will even look at your passports.

Obviously take em with you but internal travel within the EU should be fine

A friend & her husband recently checked in for their flights to Spain and were mortified to be told that their passports had expired! Check in staff made some calls and they were allowed to travel. On way home their passports weren't even checked.
  • we travelled to spain last month and my partners passport only had 3 months left on it, I checked and was told at the by the airline and staff at the airport that for travel to spain you can use your passport right up until the day it expires.

Hello was just wondering if anyone could help me its a similar sort of problem. I am 17 and have a 5 year passport and will be going to spain in July and the passport still has 2 years left on it. Another thing to add is that i will be 18 when coming back as my birthday is when we are away. Will i be ok as i heard that you had to have a 10 year passport now to go to spain.
