Hi,
I've recently signed a 12 month contract for my first flat with my girlfriend. I went through a letting agency who charged us a £130 admin fee as well as a hetfy deposit. We have not moved in yet however the landlord has requested payment of £20 to collect the keys the day before the contract begins and £40 to remove one of the beds from the bedroom.
Is this reasonable or should I dispute this? Very tricky as I just want to get moved in.

Why is the bed being moved? At your request (your cost) or for the landlord's benefit? What do you mean by collecting the keys a day early, do you mean you want to have possession of the property a day before your tenancy starts? Is the £20 fee for the keys a charge to deliver them to you because you can't collect them for example or a deposit which you'll get back when you hand them back?
And what do you mean by hefty deposit - deposits are usually the equivalent of one month to 6 weeks rent so anything within this equation is entirely normal.0
