Good - well done.
But just thinking out loud here - If they had of refused could you have had the money refunded to your closed cc account, and have the cc company transfer the money into your bank account?0 -
didn't want to go down that line as i've gone overdrawn on my overdraft so just stood my ground and won my caseon this day 23/05/1430

You are entitled to a refund or goods to that value or a creditvoucher for that store whichever is convient to you.
As the goods were sold and not fit for the purpose for which they were sold you are entitled to compensation as well as the above.
They probably wouldn't let you keep the coat and a refund but the cost of the taxi fare to the store and back or a £20 voucher would be resonable.
A good effort and well done for sticking with it but try the above next time.0
