What joint account shall I set up.

Hi,
I am in the process of buying a house with my g/f. We want to set up a jopint account, pay a set amount in each every month, then use this money to pay the mortgage, and also the majority of the bills. This way we can still have our own personal accounts we've had for years.
Can anyone recommend a good bank / account? Does it make any difference it being a joint account? Shall I stick with our own banks (Nat West & Halifax)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Halifax Reward gives you £5 a month if you put in £1000 each month (doesn't have to stay in)0

Most high street banks will have a product to suit.
Lloyds TSB have good internet banking, loads of branches and a free current account with no minimum funding requirement.
But then again so do loads of others most probably.....
Regarding any drawbacks, the only drawback would be that you both would be financially linked, therefore the other person's credit history / rating (good or bad) would affect the other.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!0 -

ours is with natwest, we use a basic account for the bills does everything we need. No o/d though but our personal accounts do so nothing to worry about.0
