                                  in Credit cards

                    Hi,
Im a 23 yr old student with a Barclays student current account. I have been working f/t for a year and am going to be travelling around Europe this summer and am looking for a credit card I can use in emergencies etc.
I haven't used a credit card before, so am assuming I have no credit rating. Any advice on a good card for this purpose? Ideally, I would like one with at least a month interest free period that I could pay off when I get back in the UK.
Ive been looking into the Barclays Simplcity card, but was advised I probably would get it as I haven't built up a credit card rating. Any good 'first time' cards that would give me a good interest free period?
Thanks for your help!

Yep. Apply in branch if you need it quick.
Also consider opening a Nationwide Flexaccount to use the debit card for cash withdrawals.0

Nothing ventured and all that. If you're going on holiday in a week or two there's not a lot else you can do. You're either on the electoral register or you're not.
"Emergency" card purchases could end up costing you a lot of money, especially after a few beers "A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 "A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
