Hi all im currently looking to sell my beloved GSXR 600.

Just looking for some advise. I have listed it on for £1800.

The bike has £733 of outstanding finance on it.

Im just a little bit unsure as to when it comes to someone that wants to buy it. Obviously the finance is to be paid before i give over the bike - clearly.

Do i get them to pay it direct to my finance company or do i get the cash/payment from the buyer and them pay them myself and then give bike over? Im just not sure how to approach the situation.

Any advice from anyone that has been in same position with car/bike would be helpful.

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Name Dropper Car Insurance Carver!
I sold a car for 12K that had 2K of finance on it still. I just was up front about it, and when he came to pay, we just went to the bank together and he paid the outstanding into the finance companies bank account.

I bought a car which had some finance outstanding on it, but I phoned the finance company when I was at the guys house and paid the outstanding balance over the phone, then gave the rest to the seller.

The finance company confirmed there and then that the finance was then clear.

Oh, and slightly off topic, but the GSXR600 is a gorgeous bike! I'd love one!

No probs. Out of interest, where are you from? I've not passed my bike test yet, but figure a 600 is the best place to start ;)

    Im up in Scotland mate.

And yes your right 600 is where u want to start going higher i personally think its a bit mad. Insurance being one reason my 600 is not that bad insurance wise, plus its enough power but not insane power.:)
