Warranty after a replacment has been supplied

Hi peeps

Quick question

I bought a cdj (twin cd console for dj'ing) in Jan 08. I've had the whole unit replaced as the first developed the same fault twice. I obtained my replacement unit in Sept 08 and it has now failed again.

Do I still have 1 years warranty on the unit supplied to me in Sept 08??

Also, am I covered anyway under the EU 2 year elec item waranty rule??

Thanks for reading & in anticipation of any replies.

regards

BB

  • No your original warranty isnt extended (unless otherwise said).

Ignore the EU stuff as the UK SOGA provides more rights. If its unreasonable to expect a product of this type to develop such a fault so early in its life the retailer (not manufacturer) is liable to repair/replace/refund it.
