Outside tap- self cutting conectors

I want to put in an outside tap and was going to get one of those all inclusive kits, but I've heard that self cutting conectors can cause problems with water pressure, because the bits that get cut off stay in the pipe.
What do you think, is there a better, not hudgely expensive or difficult alternative?

Yes.
