I want to transfer say 200-300 DVD's to a portable hardrive that can then be connected to any TV via a scart for example and viewed.
Any such thing out there?

Yes, there is a whole range of such devices here is one I referenced the Freecom one as they have a "no quibble" guarantee, or at least they used to have.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
