Just from personal experience I'd say it hurts less than waxing but it goes on for longer! That said - there are absolutely no stray hairs left and it gets out all the tiny ones that waxing can miss. Also depends where it's done - the lip hurts a lot more than the brows. Oh - and you get a much cleaner line than with waxing - the shaping is great - I always get it done on holiday (in Turkey) and really miss it when I'm home.
Also - have had a recommendation for a shop in the Southside of Glasgow run by an Asian lady, who doesn't charge as much. It'll be a while before I can get in, but will post when I do if it's any good.0 -
My problem is that the skin around my eyes is ridiculously sensitive. I always get far more red and inflammed than anyone I go with to get waxed. One salon actually burned the skin off some of the eye area, and I've not had anything done to my eyebrows since (that salon closed down unsurprisingly!)! I think this sounds as if it'd be much easier on my skin.0

It can make your eyes water a bit!! That said, it doesn't take any skin off so any redness should disappear within a few minutes. I always get it done when I go to Turkey - but I'm still trying to find a decent one here.0 -

Never thought I'd be so keen to pay for something that hurts but at £4 a time ... :rotfl:

Hi, can anyone please help with eyebrow threading in the Glasgow West End area? I have never had it done before and am pretty scared to go to someone without a recommendation. I Googled and found a place called Richardson Murray - has anyone been there? Really grateful to hear of any place you think is good. THANKS0

There's a place at the top of Argyle Street near Kelvingrove Park that does threading. I've been a couple of times and was pretty pleased with it. It's £5 or £60

Hve you tried a local college that does beauty therapies? I was at Langside for a bit and they had a salon, we had a few Indian ladies on our course who tuught us threading and we offered it in the salon. it was very cheap and we were well practiced before offering it to the public.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0

can you remember anything else like street name or salon name?0 -
I had a look at "how to do threading" videos on youtube and then tried it out myself (very MSE). It worked a treat;).0
