Threading in Lanarkshire/Glasgow
Options
Hi - I'm hoping you can help! I much prefer threading to waxing but have no idea where to look locally (in the Hamilton or East Kilbride area)? If there isn't such a thing then I'd be willing to travel to Glasgow.
I've found a place in the city centre but it's pricey and I need my brows down every 3 weeks so want to keep the cost down. Does anyone have any suggestions for reasonably priced places that do threading?
Thanks
Susan

Hi - I know that Natural You beauty in EK village have recently started offering threading (I'm getting mine done in a couple of weeks).
The girls in there are really nice. Not sure on the cost but if you give them a ring you can check it out. If it helps, their price for eyebrow waxing is 7.50 I think.
Hope this helps

I know they do it in The Beauty Store although it might be a bit pricey - they often have offers on 5pm.com. I also found this link on Gumtree http://glasgow.gumtree.com/glasgow/98/35979098.html - its only £3 when you mention the ad the salon is generally good but I haven't tried threading there.Mortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Oh - just saw on another post that you've tried the Beauty Store! The other one in my post is in Cathcart so not too far from EK and might be worth a look.Mortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. My goodness - £13 for eyebrow threading?? Don't think so!
I go to a place called Farahs in Pollockshields and it is absolutely fantastic. They charge £5 for eyebrow threading and £3 for touch up within 2 weeks and they are legendary around these parts!

I know - I thought £13 was pretty expensive as well...! Hence why I didn't bother....:D0

£13 is extortiante! (sp)
The best person to go to for threading is ladies who are Indian/Asian as this is where threading originated from and are therefore the absolute best at it. And also the cheapest. I wouldn't go to some beauty salon where the girls have been sent on a one day course and thnk they can charge £13+ for it!

Thanks - just rang them and they charge £10 for brows which is still a bit dear when you compare it to some of the Asian shops in Glasgow. Mind you - it's the same price as The Beauty Store and I'd save on petrol!!0 -
You're welcome.
I know what you mean. I work in Glasgow so I need to go in the evening or weekends. As far as I remember, they're open 3 evenings a week which means I can book appointments during the week without eating into my weekend.
Let me know how you get on if you end up going there. As I say, I'm getting mind done in a couple of weeks.

How does threading compare with waxing for pain levels? Was considering this, a friend recommended it...0
