Hi,
I recently bought Guitar Hero World Tour for the PS3 from Toys R Us, I got the product home only to find the strum bar on the guitar was dodgy, it was sticking when trying to play notes. I returned the guitar the same day and it was replaced, no questions asked.
The replacement guitar seemed like it was working, we were playing the game for a few hours and we noticed something really strange happening, the game involves struming notes as they appear on the screen in time to the music, the problem only happens when the game has been on a while when you play a note the guitar plays the same note twice and ruins your score and enjoyment of the game, it eventually becomes impossible to play. I did a google search on "guitar hero world tour double strum problem" and found i'm not the only person with this problem, a lot of people have suffered the same.
I took the guitar back to toys r us today and they say they cant replace it as they cant find any fault with it (they said they tested the guitar on expert mode and only played it for 5mins, I had already said to them we play the game on Easy and it only happens after a sustained session of play), I bought the guitar on the 6th June. I told them it only happens after you have been playing it for a while and they say unless they can see the problem they cant replace the guitar. Does anybody know what my rights are here?

Or use the online warranty system for it and the manufacturer will send a new one without you even needing to return this one.0

Thanks for your replies, I think it would be hard to get a video of it going wrong as they can say its a game of skill and it was the user who played the wrong note.
I'm interested in the online warranty system, do you have a link that takes me to this, I found something today from a company called red octane who apparantly make the guitars and they had a page where you could click whats wrong with the guitar at the end it said try playing the guitar by holding the strum bar and not flicking it with your fingers if you are getting double notes?!? No help there. Is this the page i'm looking for?0 -
Thanks for that, remind me never to shop at toys r us again. :beer:0
