ebay and cahoot web card

I buy and sell the occasional item on Ebay and used to finance it with my Cahoot web card. Also any money I had in the paypal account I transferred to a savings account that did not accept direct debits.

Of course now you have to have a bank account linked by direct debit to paypall before you can even sell an item as I found out last week.

So my Cahoot web card is no longer acceptable as a means of funding my account and I now have an unwanted direct debit payable to paypal in my online banking direct debit list.

Can I cancel this direct debit through my online banking (I know I can cancel it but bear with me ) after I transfer money to or from my bank account and then just renew it with paypal everytime I want to buy or sell something or will paypal see this as some kind of fraud or fee avoidance?

Jenny
