  • Just seen this post and have today taken out insurance on an old car in my name with Fortis (through an agent) fully comp which would allow my 17 yr old son on a provisional to drive accompanied for up to 90 days at a extra cost of £1.05 per day. Apparently I ring my agent beforehand and say we want the extra for this week or so, pay the money and he is insured for going out in it.Max is 90 days per year and then when he passes he can get his own insurance with a young driver scheme they do to build up his own no claims etc.
  • Have you had any prices from Quinn Direct or Ecar insurance, we got quite good prices from both when nephew wanted insurance when he started driving lessons, think he went for Quinn Direct in the end.
