like the lok of the latest Tomtoms' with the live updates etc .. but totally confused between the similarly priced .. Go540 Live and the XL live versions.
the XL talks about "bigger screen " but is 4.3" same as the Go
The Tomtom website is as clear as mud !
thanks

tomtom have 4 levels of products
the one
the xl's
go's
and go live's
they are more advanced and "better" down the list
you can get live versions of all levels though i do believe
so it is slightly misleading in the hope that someone after a live one will go for the go live rather than a cheaper xl live
all but the one series have 4.3 widescreens and the same hardware
its just the software that differs
if you want one, go for the cheaper xl live option
only a few differences exist and these are negligable imo
just a gimmick tbh
BUT
my over all advice is dont go for a live model
over 5 years, your sat nav will still be 99.8% accurate i read somewhere
(assuming its 100% at current)
so live updates have no purpose other than traffic warnings which are only on the most expensive go lives
what i suggest you do is not buy a new one
buy something like a reconditions xl, go or maybe a garmin nuvi
all will get you from a to b and go for under £100
and still come with a warranty etcBack by no demand whatsoever.0
