Aviva sounds like a bus company to me, what exactly was wrong with Norwich Union?
Hahaha - funny you say that, where my eldest daughter lives she has a bus company (and train) called Arriva and i'm always calling it aviva or vice versa!
Arriva Trains if I remember correctly!
I do know the reason though, for the change (sadly enough!).....
NU was a culmination of all the previous business units (CGU/NU etc) and so they decided to become 'One'. Therefore One Aviva was born - its their worldwide brand, NU is big in the UK but small fry worldwide whereas Aviva is a huge brand worldwide.2010 - year of the troll

It may well be a huge global brand, but I had never heard of it before all of this changeover.. Oh well, as long as it doesn't go down the Abbey / Santander route..:rotfl:
Thanks for the info.0 -

LOL, I only heard when I got a leaflet explaining it (I have life cover with them) - now shows AVIVA on bank statement as DD recipient so must all be done already!
Lovely little leaflet explaining their heritage and what not - but a waste of money if you ask me! I'd have rather saved the cost from a months premium LOL :rotfl:2010 - year of the troll

Indeed, they can waste money on this crap, yet they ... like others will be getting rid of staff at the drop of a hat.0 -

No, I just get pi55ed off with all of these companies that waste money on crap like this and then get rid of their best assets, the staff.0 -

Yes mate - kinda like they forget the old saying 'customer pays our wages' or 'customer is always right'....... so they have no consideration for the customer and get rid of the staff (i.e. their assets) to replace with 3rd class rubbish who cannot work away from the scripted answers and expect us to remain happy! Madness.....
Ask an Indian callcentre worker (any will do) the following and see what they say back to you....
Ask: As you are based in India, can you tell me whether you conform to the DPA and if so under what acts from within this legislation would be pertinent to me, giving my secure details to you when? Also, can you confirm this call is being recorded for both our security.
Try it and see the response! They all use the same scripted answers..... quite funny really!2010 - year of the troll

LOL, the actual question is irrelevant! I mentioned it so you can see what they say in response - its a standard response used by various companies! Its weird but almost as if a draft was sent to everyone LOL
Forget the recording, just try it and see what they say! haha - tis funny!2010 - year of the troll
