in Credit cards
Hi, I am new to this so hope you can help. In 2006 I paid an Egg loan off using my sort code and account number which Egg had supplied. Then last week, I was paying £206 into my Egg credit card and used the same sort code and account number which I had previously in 2006. When the money hadn't entered my account I gave Egg a call who had told me that the sort code and account number I supplied now belong to a new Egg customer? Is this correct? Surely they can not use the same account and sort code again? Now, I am having no luck getting my money back, can anyone please help?
Thanks
Nx

Yes, account numbers can be re-allocated...although I'm surprised they do it every 3 years!
I'd register a formal complaint with Egg and see if that makes them pull their finger out.0
