Sainsburys Standard 0% Purchase Card

does anyone know if there is a Cap on the limit amount u are given on the
Sainsburys Standard 0% Purchase Card

Im moving soon and getting a mortgage. so am not sure when the best time to apply for the Card is.
Im hoping within 8weeks i shall be moved, so thats when the mortgage will be finalised and done. im worried that once ive done that, my credit rating etc will mean I get a lower amount. any advice

I wanted to apply for such Card to maybe buy a TV or this and that. id have the money but would rather get saving interest off it. a bit of a safety net.

Also are you ok to use this card as much as you want within the 10months as long as u dont go over your limit and do u just pay off the minimum payment per month

thanks

Lee

Get your mortgage sorted first, you'd rather miss out on the credit card than that wouldn't you. Having said that, if you've only had that one credit check recently, one more wont be a problem (depends on your previous history)
If you are on the electoral roll at your current address, and wont be moving for 8weeks, apply as soon as mortgage agreed, and then let the card company know your new address once you've been accepted.

Good plan, stick it in a high-interest savings account for as long as poss

Yes to both, that's how most credit cards work, is this your first one by any chance?

So you think i should wait until the money from the mortgage has been transferred?
At present I have had a letter saying that I can have the agreed amount for mortgage. Just solicitors doing there their stuff and searches

The credit checks recently - i applied for a cahoot savings account and the ICIC Bank. do they do credit checks?

Also today in the last couple of months, i had two credit cards which i rang and reduced the limits saving me about £11k of credit. Today I have cancelled two of them out right. this helps my ability to get credit right?

So with my mortgage agreed but obviously all finalised, should i still apply for a sainsbury Card, but put it as my current address.

To answer the Question asked. This is the first time ive looked to get any type of 0% card.
    my previous cards are

    barclaycard - cancelled
    halifax - amazon -cancelled
    nectar american express - current

obviously im looking to take advantage of the 0% offers. a purchase card suits me best as i dont have any balances to transfer as ia lways pay my crediit card bill fully each month
